Say: “hail”
If you have nothing other than a hail to offer me you best move along, I need concentration to study these odd bones that I unearthed. Funny thing about them though, they seem to resonate a hum. Quite unusual, you probably aren't [interested] in that though.
Say: “interested”
Are you? I didn't take you for a necromancer. I tried to reanimate these remains but due to the vibration it was too unstable and collapsed. I have given up trying to animate them. I would need more supplies if I were to try again. I am too busy with other research to care though. If you are so interested you could go fetch the supplies for me. I suspect the bone structure is of a human, so I would need a vial of human blood. A jade inlaid coffin would be needed to perform the ritual in. Also a vial of clear mana to bind the bones with strong magic, and an essence emerald to complete the ritual.

Say: “hail”
Hail traveler. may I assist you with something. or are you just passing through?
Say: “passing through”
Very well friend. please take care when passing beyond the river to the east. Several researchers and their mercenary escort passed through our camp en route to the temple. That was last week and they have yet to return. We are holding off on our expedition until we can learn more about what happened to them.
Say: “temple”
The temple of the lizardmen. The lost temple of Cazic-thule. It's just to the east of here.. across the river.
Say: “expedition”
Several weeks ago, I received the news from M'lady Morkul that the Academy was researching this temple. It had been years since I last visited this site, so naturally I was interested. Of course, that was before we set camp in this accursed place. I must be honest; I was quite ready to leave after our first night here.
Say: “night”
After securing the site, we set sentinels to alert us to any patrols or prying jungle eyes. Unfortunately, our magic did little to provide us with a night's rest that eve. The incessant sound of drums and the screams from within the temple had little regard for our lack of rest and already nervous disposition. Several times during the course of my slumber that night, I was taunted by foul visions of an unnatural sort.
Say: “visions”
My mind was filled with images of grotesque rituals. The lizards that inhabit that place were gathered around magical portals, chanting in a tongue too wretched to recall. As they spoke and danced, the denizens of some horrid void were pouring from the shimmering rifts! I awoke to find the others in the same state of horror! When I gathered my senses, I noticed that all of our equipment has been covered in some sort of black ooze, though our sentinels displayed no signs of having been triggered.
Say: “ooze”
I really cannot recall much about the ooze. We have noticed that our memories seem to be affected by this place as well. I know that the ooze was present when we awoke, but it seemed to have been absorbed into the ground. It moved on its own volition. That is all that I can recall.
Say: “happened”
There was a story that floated about when I was a student. In summary, there was a tome of similar nature to the Phobonomicon. An ambitious mage recovered the tome from the possession of several faceless creatures in the Abysmal Sea. This mage reportedly went quite insane. The story claims that his last act of madness was to cast the tome into a living rift of matter. The rift then opened and released a creature of an unspeakable nature. This cured the mage of his problems... for good. That is why you should return all items of that sort to me.
Say: “phobonomicon”
A Phobonomicon, book of fear, is rumored to be creatable through the use of rituals and tools too disturbing to describe. Once the ritual or process is complete, the book will begin to take on its own... life, for lack of a better word. The book of fear is capable of unthinkable magic. Watch yourself, should you stumble into such a tome.

Say: “hail”
A wolfy! Oh, me so excited! I never get to talk to wolfy before. Why you here? You hungry? I bet you want food, but me no have food for wolfy. What do wolfy eat? You eat meat, I bet. Not plants.' The ogre breaks into a frightful laughter. 'Sorry, but I just remember dat guy I bounce lil while ago wit da grass in his pants! Funny. Me find him coming out of da mountains so me bounce him into da river. Greenbloods eat him already, prolly, so you no get to.' More grotesque giggling from the monstrosity. 'Grass in his pants!

Say: “Who are you?”
You don't even know who I am? You summon me back here and you don't even know me? There's no way I'll. . .' The voice wavers as it struggles to deny an answer to your question. The struggle is short, however, and he continues. 'Gah! Fine, my name is Sanmuel Gingerfly of Qeynos.
Say: “What about the disease?”
What do you want to know about disease? I'm kind of an expert. I know something about a great plague that you will soon die from! I helped create it!
Say: “What plague?”
I know that it is a special plague, designed by. . .' again he tries to resist speaking, but the power of the gem that binds him into his own skull is too powerful, 'Azibelle and the Afflicted. Oh, she's gonna be mad at me. It will grow in the plants and be eaten by the animals. It won't show any signs for a long time. By then you'll all have eaten something with the plague! I got to deliver some of it to the first victims! I even remember one of the key runes. I. . .' again the hesitation, 'can [
Say: “Who are Azibelle and the Afflicted?”
I won't tell you!' The voice goes silent for a few moments and you fear that he might have broken the spell, but his voice returns. 'The Afflicted were created by Azibelle shortly after Mordavin was killed. When the Bloodsabers refused to protect Mordavin, she broke from them and took some key members with her. Glenfire is her right hand, a wicked woman with great power. The others she has brought in are Finnelzi Springworthy, Rendolf Deathbringer, Tehana Elsent and my brother, Bohab.
Say: “Who is Glenfire?”
She's the most powerful woman I've ever met. She's a dark elven shadowknight and if I were you I'd stay away from her. Nobody has ever beat her in a fight and I don't think she tries her hardest.
Say: “Who is Finnelzi Springworthy?”
Fin? He's a gnome. I suppose he's a powerful necromancer, but it's hard to fear someone that can't see over a low hedge. Besides, I always suspected that he had reservations about our work. I should have had his place in the coven!
Say: “Who is Rendolf Deathbringer?”
Heh. He used to be called Rendolf Shelton. He changed his name so he'd sound more like a shadowknight. He's a great fighter, though, so nobody teases him about it. I think he has a crush on Glenfire, but she'd rather kill a human than sleep with one.
Say: “Who is Tehana Elsent?”
Tehana is a true necromancer. She studies the lore and the spells. She knows everything there is to know about the undead. She has been studying diseases, but I don't think they really meant much to her except that they make people dead. She was the one to recreate some of Mordavin's work from his notes and repurposed it for Azibelle's needs. She's kind of excited about killing everyone. She is inspired by Azibelle and Glenfire and does most of the support work for the coven.
Say: “Who is Bohab?”
I won't tell you anything about him. He protected me as a child in the streets of Qeynos and I will not tell you anything about him.

Say: “hail”
Hail.
Say: “interested”
I have messages that need to go to - well, right now I have one that needs to go to Freeport. Will you [deliver] mail [to Freeport] for me?
Say: “mail”
The League of Antonican Bards has a courier system made up of travelers and adventurers. We pay good gold to anyone who will take messages from bards such as myself to one of our more distant offices. Are you [interested]?
Say: “deliver to freeport”
Take this letter to Felisity Starbright. You can find her at the bard guild hall. I'm sure she will compensate you for your trouble.
Eleann Morkul
Classic-script dialogue (7)
Say: “hail”
Welcome friend. you're a great leap from any sort of civilization. What brings you to this foul place? Are you an adventurer or just a connoisseur of wretched foliage and damp clothing?
Say: “adventurer”
Well. I gathered as much. but I try to avoid assumptions. Are you by chance heading to the temple? It seems to be quite a draw for adventurers and academics alike. Though we've yet to witness either group leave the structure once they've entered it.
Say: “to the temple”
Well. take care and prepare for the most horrific of possibilities. my friend. Our trip has been terrifying enough and we've yet to enter the temple itself. I've seen enough from here to confirm some of the rumors that we were sent to investigate.
Say: “rumors”
The Academy sent my colleagues and I to investigate several reports about Tae Ew tribal activity that have found their way to Freeport during the course of the last lunar cycle. The rumors stated that the primitive creatures have made several great discoveries of a necromantic nature in an incredibly short time. I was assigned to gather any artifacts and information that I could uncover. If you should learn more about their magic. please return to me before we leave and you will be rewarded.
Say: “magic”
The Tae Ew have never been brilliant. but their capability for magic use has always existed. It was shocking to learn that they have been reported to have opened portals to Planes of existence outside of our own. The Tae Ew have also begun to display a metamorphic progression as well. Given the rate at which these changes have occurred. we can only assume that they are being directed by a will greater than their own.
Say: “connoisseur”
Well. enjoy yourself. I know that I've had quite enough of it myself.
Say: “what temple”
The temple of the lizardmen. The lost temple of Cazic-thule. It's just to the east of here... across the river.

It is a pleasure to meet you, but I do not have time to speak. I am waiting on official word from Shar Vahl. Classic-script dialogue (4)
Say: “hail”
You know, you can go greet yourself. Converse with yourself and then see yourself off while you're at it. I've had enough of this place. To be honest, I've just thought about it and I think that I've had quite enough of you as well. So mate, unless you're holding my bag of fame and fortune... as promised to me last week by our huge headed friend over there... I think that it would be best if you shambled off. Please feel free to take the Erudite with you.
Say: “fame and fortune”
Oh dun give me the 'what fame and fortune routine'. I'm sure that you're not poking around in the dark jungle because you heard some orphans needed rescuing, you greedy looking wretch. Bah... you've heard the stories about the temple too, haven't ya? That is of course why you're here, right? Looking for your cut?
Say: “stories”
The lass here told me that she'd be needing me to do some poking around in that temple. Of course being the handsome gentleman that I am and all, I told her that I'd take a look or two. You know a charitable and chivalrous bloke like me would perform such a task for free, but then the Errordite has to go and pry me with stories of riches and... err... a little fame. So, I says, sure... I'll do it since you're begging me and all... now look at us. Deep in the swamp and covered in black monster mucous.
Say: “black monster mucous”
I dunno what to tell you. I woke up our first morning here to find all of my gear covered in this nasty slime. Most of the stuff crawled off, but now our goods are ruined. I'll be happy when I can get a nice change of clothes. If you happen into some sporty gnome sized clothing let me know.
