Say: “Hail”
Please help me get out of here! My companion, Kyrenna, and I are trapped in this hellish place!
Say: “Who is Kyrenna”
I was with Kyrenna when she attempted to revive the corpse of Glohnor the Valiant. Like fools, we rushed into a trap. Now we sit here and await our deaths.
Say: “Where is Kyrenna”
She is close by. For a price, I shall tell you. Bring me the key to my freedom and I will betray her, who sentenced me to this fate.

Classic-script dialogue (9)
Say: “Hail”
What how did you see me? Never mind I guess it doesn't matter at this point. Our [goal] has become unattainable.
Say: “What goal”
When my younger brother heard that something had happened here in these ruins he went looking for fortune and glory with a [party] made up of old friends.
Say: “What party”
As far as I know they are all treasure seekers and explorers like him, but his fate has become less of a priority to me as my attention has been placed on my other [brothers] that accompanied me here.
Say: “What brothers”
Well to make a long story short, my other brothers and I tracked the party here, but when we found that disenchanted earth elemental we all stopped to investigate. What we found was quite extraordinary. A piece of [paper] that looked like it had been ripped from a journal was clenched in the hand of this elemental.
Say: “What paper”
The paper detailed an ancient magic spell that we believe is responsible for the constructs that recently inhabited these ruins. Now gnomes being gnomes we all begin to wonder if we could decipher the ancient text the spell was written in and use the spell for the greater good of our kind. But then I begin to have a [doubt].
Say: “What doubt”
Well after thinking about it a little I realized that there must be a reason why this magic had not been found. Many have passed through these ruins and this had never been discovered by anyone. It must have been hidden for a reason and as such I told my brothers that we should leave it here as it could bring more bad then good. That's when something [happened] I was not prepared for.
Say: “What happened”
One of them, Stiggles, turned to me and told me to shut my trap. The other, Tani turned to him and demanded that he give him the paper. They begin to argue back and forth and then a small scuffle broke out between the two. I tried to break it up, but before I could I heard the paper rip in two. Standing across from each other with a torn piece of paper in their hands they looked at me and gated home leaving me here in danger and very [worried].
Say: “Worried”
This power cannot be given to my kin. It is dangerous and I must figure out how to get those pieces back. . . Hey you seem pretty interested in this to have listened so long. You think you could do me a [favor]?
Say: “What favor”
Find my brothers and when you do give them each a note I have written for them. Hopefully it will help them understand why the information contained on that piece of paper must be kept here. Finding them will not be easy but I can tell you that Stiggles use to spend a lot of his time alone in a dragon graveyard inhabited by phase spiders. Tani may be near the home of the Sarnaks, he was looking into some intriguing discovery around there before he decided to accompany me here. They should give you the piece they have and then I will need you to bring them back here to me so I can fix this mess.

Classic-script dialogue (6)
Say: “hail”
Yes, young one?
Say: “i am ready for the test of the phantasm”
It will be simple, go collect these items and return them to me. Head of a serpent, essence of a ghost, essence of a vampire, and sands of the mystics. Do so and you will receive the last of the pieces. Be sure to combine them in a sack first. Just ask and I will provide you with one.
Say: “head of a serpent”
Serpent is probably not an accurate term for what you must return to me. It is actaully the reminants of a spirit. The spirit is one which was erradicated long long ago by the Iksar. I believe they were called the Shissar. You may need to travel to the Iksar city to learn more about these creatures.
Say: “essence of a ghost”
You don't have to look far to find roaming spirits. One in particular though has more meaning then the other sorry souls trapped here. You see, Kindle was a dear friend of mine. I came in search of him when he stopped writing. Well...look at me now. I fear that I have succumbed to the same fate as poor Kindle.
Say: “essence of a vampire”
The essence of a vampire is just that. Only the most powerful of these creatures will possess what you need.
Say: “sands of the mystic”
They are sands that were imbued with the magical might of the mystics. Mystics use a ritual involving their own blood to create a powerful bond with the sand. One will need to search the shores.
Protector of the ruins
Classic-script dialogue (12)
Say: “Hail”
Greetings traveler, it has been ages since I have seen another living person. I have spent many years down here trying to perfect an ancient spell discovered long ago. While the history of this place is still told throughout Norrath, only those who live here know what really went on when the heretics moved down here. . . [Continue 1]?
Say: “Continue 1”
After Paineel was built, some of its inhabitants began to research the Wall of Living Stone. It is said that the wall was erected to keep intruders from entering the Underfoot. Giving in to curiosity, the heretics tried to siphon some of the walls power. This caused a weakening in the wall and a seal within it broke creating an opening to the Underfoot. . . [Continue 2]?
Say: “Continue 2”
The actions of my brethren were viewed as a threat by the minions of Brell, lord of the Underfoot, and so in an effort to drive back the danger, Brell's minions went to war with the heretics. The war resulted in the deaths of many Erudites. To turn the tides of war the heretics hatched a plan that would seal the wall to the Underfoot again. . . [Continue 3]?
Say: “Continue 3”
The heretics planned to flood the lower area where the entrance to Brell's kingdom was found, hoping it would weaken the earth elementals and turn them back into earth or mud.. Then, with a magic I had studied from a long-forgotten tome, I would fashion a seal that would separate Paineel and the Underfoot once more. . . [Continue 4]?
Say: “Continue 4”
I remember the day we all carried special shields imbued with water-breathing magic and stood around the top of the mighty Hole. We all watched as an unfathomable amount of water rushed from the heavens into the depths of the Hole, drowning the city beneath it. Unfortunately, our attempts resulted in the loss of many of our citizens, because we were not accustomed to fighting underwater. Some of our residents also refused to evacuate, believing they could fight the war without the use of innovative tactics. It was a terrible sight. . . [Continue 5]?
Say: “Continue 5”
Many died to Brell's minions and others simply drowned when they lost their shields in their fights. Even so, we were successful. I had time to seal the entrance to Brell's kingdom while the minions focused on their battles. With the muddy bodies of the failing earth elementals, I summoned an ethereal door that resealed the Wall of Living Stone. A few elementals survived and with the threat of Master Yael, a protector of the Underfoot that we believe was sent by Brell-Serilis, we all fled to the tower that lies above the entrance. . . [Continue 6]?
Say: “Continue 6”
The seal was a boon to our people. It helped us in two ways. First, it prevented more elementals from entering our city and, second, it cut off the magic that animated those summoned creatures that had come through. We wanted to remove those remaining elementals from our old city, but we had to wait until their powers begin to dissipate. . . [Continue 7]?
Say: “Continue 7”
As we waited for the day that we could get rid of Brell's influence, we begin to look for ways to compensate for our reduced numbers. That's when I discovered an old tome detailing a powerful animation spell. The author of the tome detailed how to construct golems and gargoyles and animate them with magic. I went to work using what materials I had here to sculpt some gargoyles and create some golem constructs in the hopes that we could banish the remaining inhabitants of Old Paineel. I think I managed to turn it into an art form. . . [Continue 8]?
Say: “Continue 8”
Alas, it took longer then I thought. I was so driven to get the summoned beings created that I completely detached myself from the other survivors. Then, I looked up and saw nothing but the spirits of my brethren. The years I must have spent oblivious to what transpired around me. . . [Continue 9]?
Say: “Continue 9”
I began to get lonely and was oft filled with regret. I thought I would try to reach those above the ground, but the elementals still lingered here and diminished any hope of getting to the entrance. With nowhere to go I continued to craft the lifeless statues that I would one day bring to life. . . [Continue 10]?
Say: “Continue 10”
Decades passed and I was finally ready to bring life to the stone figures I had created that would end the interference of Brell's minions. But before I begin the ritual, the spirits of my lost brethren began to whisper to me. . . [Continue 11]?
Say: “Continue 11”
In their hisses, I heard that another being had entered the Hole. The erudite phantoms told me that this being was slaying all the elementals that dared cross his path. They said he carried the scale of a red dragon as a sign of his strength. The news intrigued me so I rushed to find out who this person was. I was lonely and curious, after all. By time I had left my room in the temple's tower, he had already made his way to the tower entrance. Standing in front of me with ferocious eyes, he sheathed his sword and bowed before me. . .
