Classic-script dialogue (6)

Say: “hail”

Hail,

Say: “new recruit”

Well, good to make your acquaintance,

Say: “an outsider”

I should have guessed as much. You look the part.

Say: “serve the crown”

You are too inexperienced. Leave that business to someone more worldly.

Go quickly then

Say: “trades”

I thought you might be one who was interested in the various different trades, but which one would suit you? Ahh, alas, it would be better to let you decide for yourself, perhaps you would even like to master them all! That would be quite a feat. Well, lets not get ahead of ourselves, here, take this book. When you have finished reading it, ask me for the [second book], and I shall give it to you. Inside them you will find the most basic recipes for each trade. These recipes are typically used as a base for more advanced crafting, for instance, if you wished to be a smith, one would need to find some ore and smelt it into something usable. Good luck!

Classic-script dialogue (6)

Say: “are you mizzle”

Oh hello! I'm Mizzle, that I am. I bet you want to be given true clarity, don't you?

Say: “i am ready to collect”

Then bring me a spoon, the one key, the lost scroll, and the book Charm and Sacrifice. I will then reward you with what you seek.

Say: “spoon”

Its a giant sized tool I will use to stir my magical pot. The spoon will help finish the ritual of crafting.

Say: “one key”

It is a key I lost long ago when I was travelling with a companion. We were traveling in the new lands flying over some large crevices when the key dropped out of my pocket.

Say: “lost scroll”

The lost scroll contains the magical incantation I need to help you out. It was penned ages ago by the Elves. It was lost along with its protector during one of the raids on the Outpost in Firiona. I fear it may be lost for good.

Say: “book of charm and sacrifice”

Oh, that is a book of good reading. If you want to take the time to read it. I haven't had much free time to read it, but now that you are getting supplies for me, I can take a break.

Classic-script dialogue (3)

Say: “hail”

Greetings

Say: “serve as a cleric”

We have been blessed by Bertoxxulous with the vision of the Dark Reflection. We are the prophet and protectors of all who serve the Plague Bringer and have devoted our lives to spreading disease and decay for the glory of Bertoxxulous and the balances that must be maintained. Take this parchment to Glerbella Gibblix, she will assist you with the construction of a suit of armor to aid in protecting you from the weapons of those who would see us destroyed. When you have been properly outfitted return to me for your [next task].

Say: “next task”

We faithful of Bertoxxulous are misunderstood even by the majority of the gnomes of Ak'Akanon. The Eldrich Collective and the Deep Muses would have us chased from the Mines of Malfunction and exiled from these lands. They are not gifted with the vision of the Dark Reflection and thus are blind to the necessity of our actions. In the Steamfont Mountains you will find a Cleric of the Deep Muses, Vyntok Bonkle. Vyntok has been aiding others of our enemies in their mission to eliminate the Dark Reflection from Ak'Anon. Find Vyntok and slay him. When you have accomplished this task return to me with Vyntok's Mace.

Classic-script dialogue (6)

Say: “hail”

Be wary,

Say: “these tunnels pleasing”

Then perhaps you share the vision of we who have made these mines our home. We are the Dark Reflection and our perceptions have been refined to allow us to see the poisons and disease coursing through every creature's veins and the decay afflicting all forms of matter in Norrath. I can teach you to harness the powers of our divine benefactor if you are [willing to learn] through service to the Dark Reflection.

Say: “willing to learn”

Then your first lesson shall be the fulfillment of spreading infection and disease. Some of the best carriers of infectious diseases are rodents. Take this vial containing a slow and painful infection and give it to one of the pregnant giant rodents that can be found outside in the Steamfont Mountains. This way you can spread the disease to not only those creatures which cross the mother's path but also to those who cross the paths of her future offspring. Bring me the empty vial when the task has been completed.

Say: “components”

The recipe we use to make the plague rat disease is fairly simple. We could easily extract the fluids from the infected rat livers but that would be counterproductive to our cause since it would require the deaths of our rodent carriers. Instead, I need you to collect two parts diseased bone marrow, one sprig of wormwood and one part gnomish spirits to be used as a medium. When you have combined all the components in the container I have provided, return it to me so that we may continue to spread the disease!

Classic-script dialogue (6)

Say: “hail”

Come to find out about the Wayfarers Brotherhood, hm? I think I saw you around here long ago. Because you are familiar to me, I will trust you with some [

Say: “information”

The Wayfarers Brotherhood is pretty particular about who they do business with. You will need to prove yourself to them. You can start gaining their gratitude by helping them. The Wayfarers Brotherhood will ask you to answer some questions when you first meet with them. They tend to call all of their assignments 'adventures.' You'd do well to keep that in mind as they'll be more likely to give you some tasks. There is other information that makes them easier to [

Say: “deal with”

There are several camps of Wayfarers Brotherhood explorers around the world. In each camp you'll find a trusted Wayfarers Brotherhood member that has the task of recruiting adventurers that will take on interesting, and potentially lethal, [

Say: “work”

The Wayfarers Brotherhood believes in giving something for something. For each adventure you take from them, they will add you to their Favor Journal. With the points of Favor that their record keepers have counted for you, you can trade your good Favor for wonderful treasures and goods. Also, the more adventures you do for the Wayfarers Brotherhood, the more your Favor increases. The harder jobs get you more Favor, by the way. As you gain more Favor, the Wayfarers Brotherhood treasure keepers will let you peek at some of their more unique and sought after items. So, it pays to get in good with them, you see! And there's [

Say: “more”

You should also know that there are five magi in the Wayfarers Brotherhood that have found very unique magic stones in the world that they are able to use to transport adventurers to one another. They have placed a magus with one of these stones at each large camp. They call it Farstone Magic. And that's not the only [

Say: “interesting ore”

We've found some strange items off the dead in the dungeons. At first we just thought they were simple things -- rocks, pebbles, gems, and the like -- and then we noticed they had very unusual auras about them. Well, one day, Morden Rasp was toying with one -- a shiny green shard -- and he went to scrape it with his dagger. Suddenly, the shard began to reform and fused with his dagger. While the dagger remained as fine as ever, Morden himself felt a surge of strength! So, you will want to watch out for these strange magic pieces in the world. Now, I suggest you go talk to Selephra Giztral, Barstre Songweaver, Vual Stoutest, Teria Grinntli, or Ruanya Windleaf. They handle all of those who are interested in working for the Wayfarers Brotherhood and getting rewards. Remember well what I've told you!

You show a great deal of courage in coming here to speak with me at such a young age. I'm afraid you are not yet ready to pursue work with the Wayfarers Brotherhood.Come back when you have more experience and we will talk again.

Hail

Say: “heard the calling”

Bertoxxulous has gifted his faithful with the sight of the Dark Reflection, the ability to recognize the power of disease and decay and its importance as a catalyst of change and progress. We Shadowknights of the Dark Reflection are the champions of the Plague Bringer. It is our duty to embrace our gifts and use them to act as the agents of Bertoxxulous, doing his bidding unquestioningly. There are many however who oppose the Plague Lord and his servants. They do not understand the importance of our existence and we must [defend ourselves] against these foes lest they would have us destroyed.

Say: “defend ourselves”

Every young Knight of the Dark Reflection must first learn the basics of combat and acquire a suit of armor to help turn aside the weapons of our enemies. Take this parchment to my sister Mimtia Zethkog and she will assist you in acquiring a set of suitable armor for a young shadowknight. Once you have been suitably outfitted return to me and I will instruct you on your [next task].

Say: “next task”

There are many through out Norrath who oppose the Dark Reflection. Even here in our home, Ak'Anon, the Eldrich Collective and the Deep Muses oppose us and wish to see us exiled or eradicated. A Paladin of the Deep Muses, Donlix Bonkle, has been leading a group of zealots that is hunting young members of the Dark Reflection in the Steamfont Mountains. Seek Donlix Bonkle and eliminate him. When you have accomplished this task return to me with Donlix's Short Sword.

It is very nice to meet you

Say: “cleric”

Well you would certainly be eligible for my training then young

I am always happy to see an eager young one like yourself! Brell certainly takes pride in all young gnomes that draw power from him to give life so you should consider yourself very special. To create your own armor you are going to collect [various items] from Ak`Anon and Steamfont. You will then combine them in this assembly kit. Once you have made a material you will place it in a forge along with molds that I will present to you to create your armor.

Well you cant go running around the Steamfont Mountains with no shoes on now can you. Greetings, child. Welcome to Gemchopper Hall. I trust that you are a [warrior], or perhaps you are lost..?

Say: “lost”

One can easily get lost in Ak'Anon. You must get your vision checked. If you are truly lost, I would advise speaking with a mechanical guide. There should be one close by on the main walkway.

Say: “warrior”

That is good news! We gnomes are not known for our love of battle so it is always good to bring new blood into our ranks. We shall prove our worth as warriors to all other races. For now. there is much to do in Ak'Anon. There are [rogue clockworks] and the [cargo clockwork].

Say: “rogue clockworks”

The clockworks are the responsibility of Manik Compolten. Speak with him - I am sure he is here somewhere.

Say: “cargo clockwork”

The cargo clockwork is located near the entrance to Ak'Anon in the Steamfont Mountains. It runs a delivery to the windmills every five days at eight in the morning. There have been attacks by a group of highwaymen. They are quite a formidable group. I have offered a reward for their heads. Be very careful if you plan on escorting the cargo clockwork. In the Steamfont Mountains a Rogue of the Deep Muses, Jibble Blexnik, has been hunting and killing young members of the Dark Reflection that venture from Ak'Anon. Find this self-righteous rogue and eliminate him. When you have accomplished this task bring me Jibble's Stiletto.

Say: “mind”

Clean.. Dirty.. It matters not. You have upset me with your rude remarks. You will go to the Steamfont Mountains. There you will find Fodin and tell him I have sent you. He will have a nice tidy task for you. A bath!! Be on your way!

Say: “current member of the library”

Good. The last thing a member of the Eldritch Collective needs is to lose his mind. Look what happened to Meldrath. Enough chitchat. I am Larkon and it is not my job to teach you. Good. I require your talents to destroy rogue clockworks. After we sent the clockworks to destroy the Asylum of the Mad we found some of the clockworks went haywire and never returned. Say: “hail”

Greetings there

Say: “tasks”

Well I should hope you are truly a Rogue of Akanon or else I dont have any work for ya! However if you are then I have some things for you to do. I will present you with a magical box that you will use to craft together certain components that will make an armor material. You will then take the material that you have fashioned with the proper pattern to the forge to create your own armor. I will provide you with whatever patterns are necessary along with the armor [recipes] should you so ask.

Say: “recipes”

I have the armor recipes for all pieces of Chainmail of the Shadowwalker all you must do is simply ask for whichever piece you want to craft. I can provide you with the recipe for Shadowwalker [Coifs], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Boots], [Leggings], [Gloves] and [Tunic]. Once you have collected the necessary components for each recipe combine them in this box to fashion the correct material.

Say: “boots”

There are many things in the Steamfont Mountains that I am sure you don't want to step in

Say: “bracer”

A pair of these here bracers will be a great addition to your armor set there

Say: “coif”

While you should usually be using the shadows to your advantage should you need to face your opponent having a good coif will greatly increase your chances of survival. To create your coif material you will need to combine 2 Bricks of Crude Bronze, 1 Rat Meat, 1 Grikbar Kobold Fur and 1 Throwing Knife in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Shadowwalkers Chainmail Coif.

Say: “gloves”

Well you sure cant pick someones pocket with a broken hand now can you? I agree that gloves would be a great armor piece for you to craft. To create your glove material you will need to combine 3 Bricks of Crude Bronze, 1 Yellow Reculse Silk, 1 Brownie Leg , and 2 Spider Legs in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Shadowwalkers Chainmail Gloves.

Say: “leggings”

What do you think you are doing running around here with no pants on! To create your leggings material you will need to combine 4 Bricks of Crude Bronze, 1 Kobold Tooth, 1 Plague Rat Tail , 1 Bottle and the Torn Cloak of Faerron in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Shadowwalkers Chainmail Leggings.

Say: “sleeves”

Having the proper sleeves will definitely be to your advantage when in a heated battle. To create your sleeves material you will need to combine 2 Bricks of Crude Bronze, 2 Brownie Brains and 1 Young Ebon Drake Wing in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Shadowwalkers Chainmail Sleeves.

Say: “tunic”

I'm glad to see that you have progressed this far in your training and that you are ready to craft your final armor piece. To create your tunic material you will need to combine 5 Bricks of Crude Bronze, 1 Minotaur Scalp, 1 Brownie Parts, 1 Runaway Clockwork Motor, 1 Swirling Mist and the evil Dirolensab`s Bracer in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Shadowwalkers Chainmail Tunic. Say: “hail”

Pleased to meet you,

Say: “young gnome warrior”

Well, we can never get enough warriors around these parts, as far as I am concerned! Now if you are a new warrior, then you must go through the training to become a true watchman. I have a series of tests that will require you to test both your hunting and navigational skills. These tests will not leave you with nothing to show for your work, because upon completing them you will be outfitted with a full suit of Initiate Watchman's armor. Are you [ready to be tested]?

Say: “ready to be tested”

Well then, let's get you started! First, I will present you with this Watchman's Mail Assembly kit to gather assorted items from both your training grounds of the Steamfont Mountains and in our great town of Ak'anon. You will then combine the different recipes of components in your kit to create a material that will be used with a mold in a forge to create your Watchman armor. When you are ready to craft a specific piece, all you must do is tell me what armor piece you want to craft, and I will present you with the recipe for the material, along with the mold. I have the material recipes necessary to make Initiate Watchman [Helms], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates].

Say: “helm”

No watchman can even think of going into battle without the proper helmet, and I think this one will do the job for you,

Say: “bracer”

Always a wise idea to keep your wrists well protected, because if you don't, you might have a difficult time swinging your weapons! To create your bracer material, you will need to combine 1 Brick of Crude Bronze, 1 Rusty Mace, 1 Kobold Tooth and 1 Bottle of Milk in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material, take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Initiate Watchman's Bracer.

Say: “armguard”

One always has to be able to really pack a punch with their attacks, so preventing any injuries on your arms ahead of time is good planning! To create your armguards material, you will need to combine 2 Bricks of Crude Bronze, 2 Brownie Legs, and 1 Short Beer in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material, take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Initiate Watchman's Armguards.

Say: “boots”

I certainly wouldn't advise any watchman to be on patrol without proper boots on. We aren't halflings, you know! Therefore our obsession should be with our tactical attacks, not our foothairs. To create your boot material, you will need to combine 3 Bricks of Crude Bronze, 1 Aviak Beak, 2 Wolf Meats and 1 Red Wine in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material, take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Initiate Watchman's Boots.

Say: “greaves”

Pants are a must, young

Say: “gauntlets”

Having the necessary protection on your hands and wrists will prevent any serious injuries that would make you unable to defend yourself. To create your gauntlet material, you will need to combine 3 Bricks of Crude Bronze, 1 Runaway Clockwork Gearbox, 1 Young Ebon Drakewing, and 1 Minotaur Scalp in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material, take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Initiate Watchman's Gauntlets.

Say: “breastplate”

I am very pleased to see that you have progressed so quickly in your training,

Say: “final task”

Much like most of the other guildmasters in our great city, we have decided to begin presenting all new worthy recruits with weapons that symbolize their devotion to Ak'anon. I am in need of a [few items] from the mountains to make this weapon. If you will collect these items for me, I will be happy to reward you with one of these fine weapons.

Say: “few items”

I will need for you to bring me 1 Clockwork Oil Extract, 1 Minotaur Tibia, 1 Young Ebon Drake Ribcage and 1 Renegade Clockwork Scrapmetal. Return to me after you have gathered this items and I will reward you with your weapon.

Greetings! I am the operator of this scrapyard. If you have any scrap metal, I would be glad to purchase it from you in loads of four. The Gemchoppers no longer allow me to accept blackbox fragments and micro servos.

Say: “princess joleena”

No!! You cannot have my magic Fairie Wing!! I need it. I read somewhere within the great library that the magic wing from a fairie princess will restore my full head of hair. Look at me!! I am bald!! I have no [friends] at all.

Say: “friend”

Oh. You are just saying that so you can get my fairie wing. I will make you a deal. I cannot rely on this wing forever. I will trade it with you if you could get me a case of hair tonic. If you are a true friend you [will fetch the hair tonic] for me.

Say: “hair tonic”

Great!! Here you go, my friend. Take this crate and within you shall fill each slot with hair tonic. When all are combined within the crate, return it to me for your wing. I am not sure what the tonic was or where I got it. There is some writing on the crate, but I could not identify it.

Say: “help tergon”

No!! You will help yourself. Your task shall find your skills tested. Succeed and knowledge is yours. Fail and death shall embrace you. Go to the Steamfont Mountains and seek out a troll named Bugglegupp. As a youngster I once tried to attack the beast with a device of mine. It sent an Iron Pellet deep into the beasts head. Kill Bugglegupp and return the Iron Pellet. I hope the Pellet does not get lost in the battle.

Say: “too superior”

Well excuse me!! your majesty. Please forgive my arrogance. Now get out of here, before you stink this place up with that rotting grape you call a brain!

Say: “pirates of gunthak”

Say: “hail”

It is good to see the young show an interest in the ways of magic. Its circles can be used in tandem with our unique ways of tinkering. Have you [joined the Eldritch Collective] or are you [merely curious]?

Say: “joined the Eldritch Collective”

Very good. Would you like to [go on a little mission] or are you busy studying?

Say: “merely curious”

Please look around. We have much knowledge within these halls. May you soon find your place among our members. Good day.

Say: “go on a little mission”

Fabulous! Here is a list of the observers outside of Ak'Anon. Go and ask each for a [spare telescope lens]. Each should give you one. We have need of them. I await your return as does your reward, either Fire Bolt or Fingers of Fire. Meant for a skilled wizard of the eighth trial.

Say: “yendar”

Oh, he is my older brother. Used to be the leader of the Eldritch Collective. Then he founded the Observers, a pretty good piece of work. Went off his rocker a long while back, though. Became obsessed with Innoruuk and the Teir'Dal. Stays away for days at a time, nobody knows where he has been. Mother still worries about him, asked me to keep an eye on him. But he is a grown gnome, and with his mastery of the art, has little to fear in this world or others. But if you are seeking him, I would look outside Ak'Anon, in the Steamfonts. That is where he makes his home these days.

Classic-script dialogue (12)

Say: “hail”

Oi there! Its nice to meet you. You must excuse me for I am currently working on a special spell for my studies. I would love to talk but I have to teach a class very soon to the new [initiates] and I don't have my lesson prepared yet. Are you also a [young initiate of the Eldritch Collective]? If you are then I hope you will be ready for the lesson.

Say: “initiate”

Excellent. You must understand that I am very pressed for time but if you are a young initiate of the Collective then I always have time to share my knowledge with you. If you are interested I have some [training] for you to begin. These tasks will help you prepare for the upcoming lesson as well!

Say: “training”

I have a number of tasks that I ask new recruits of the Eldritch Collective to complete. These task will test both your ability to fight as well as your navigational skills, 2 very important factors on your road to infinite knowledge. When you are ready to begin your journeys I will present you with a Tinkered Sewing Kit that you will use to gather numerous [important components].

Say: “important components”

All right then, here is your Tinkered Sewing Kit. In this sewing kit you will combine a number of recipes that will be used for creating your Eldritch Collective Initiate Armor. When you are ready to craft a certain armor piece all you must to is tell me which piece you [want] to craft. I will then present you with the component recipe along with the applicable pattern for [Caps], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Sandals], [Trousers], [Gloves] and [Robes]. When you have completed the material for whatever piece you asked for you will combine it in a sewing kit with the appropriate pattern to fashion your armor piece. I do suggest though that you attempt your robe last as the components are more difficult then any other piece to collect.

Say: “trouser”

One will need to question your intellectual abilities if they see you running around without any pants on so let's make sure that doesn't happen. To create your trousers material you will need to combine 4 Grikbar Kobold Scalps, 1 Aviak Beak, 1 Runaway Clockwork Motor and Cloth Pants in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a sewing kit along with this pattern to fashion your very own Trousers of the Collective Initiate.

Say: “sleeve”

Your sleeves will be a very important part of your armor set. To create your sleeves material you will need to combine 2 Grikbar Kobold Scalps, 2 Coyote Skulls and Cloth Sleeves in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a sewing kit along with this pattern to fashion your very own Sleeves of the Collective Initiate.

Say: “sandal”

Sandals are always a wise idea because you never know what you where your adventures will take you. To create your sandal material you will need to combine 3 Grikbar Kobold Scalps, 1 Kobold Tooth, 2 Harpy Wings, 1 Russet Oxide and Cloth Sandals in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a sewing kit along with this pattern to fashion your very own Sandals of the Collective Initiate.

Say: “robe”

I am very pleased to see that you have progressed through your training in such a timely manner, you should be very proud! To create your robe material you will need to combine 5 Grikbar Kobold Scalps, 1 Young Ebon Drake Bile, 1 Brownie Brain, 1 Diseased Bone Marrow, 1 Cloth Shirt and the evil Faeronoliop`s Staff in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a sewing kit along with this pattern to fashion your very own Robe of the Collective Initiate. Please return to me once you have fashioned your robe for I might have a few [final tasks] for you to complete.

Say: “glove”

Its is very important that your hands are well guarded while you are attempting to practice magic because your hands will channel your energies thus having them injured would put a great burden on your training. To create your gloves material you will need to combine 3 Grikbar Kobold Scalps, 1 Grikbar Kobold Fur, 1 Giant Rat Pelt, 1 Giant Rat Ear and 1 Brownie Leg in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a sewing kit along with this pattern to fashion your very own Gloves of the Collective Initiate.

Say: “final task”

Well I have been studying some new annals that were presented to me by some high councilmen in Rivervale. They had found them will excavating some ruins in the Gorge of King Xorbb and were unable to decipher what they meant. I had them bound in a special tome but unfortunately some pickpockets stole them from me in hopes that they would bring them great power I suppose. If you can find these 4 pages for me I would be very grateful for I would be able to finish my studies of them. Will you [seek out the stolen tome pages]?

Say: “seek out the stolen tome pages”

I am very pleased to hear that you are willing to help and from your track record I have no doubt in my mind that you will be able to retrieve these pages. I would guess that they were given to the Dark Reflection casters for study after they were stolen from me so that would be where I would look. These casters do not understand our cause and serve dark gods so lethal force may be necessary. Just please be careful and make sure you have worthy adventuring partners with you because the battle may not be easy.

Say: “cap”

A true initiate of the Eldritch Collective must always have a trusty cap on to protect any blows to the head. To create your cap material you will need to combine 2 Grikbar Kobold Scalps, 1 Mountain Lion Pelt, 1 Wolf Meat and a Cloth Cap in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a sewing kit along with this pattern to fashion your very own Cap of the Collective Initiate
