Classic-script dialogue (12)
Say: “hail”
Greetings, shaman. Tell me, do you follow [Justice], [War], [Honor], [Fear], or [Hate]?
Say: “i follow justice”
Ah, it does me much good to meet with one who holds respect and reverence for the spirits. [Trust] that your place in the whole is important. Rather than trying to enslave and command others with the powers the gods grant you, you live in harmony and balance with the world around you. There are times when we, the [true spirits] and those like you, can work together to achieve goals. Individuals who help us are known as [Heyokah].
Say: “i follow fear”
You would be best served by speaking to my brother in the next room,
Say: “i follow war”
You would be best served by speaking to my brother in the next room,
Say: “i follow hate”
You would be best served by speaking to my brother in the next room,
Say: “i follow honor”
Ah, it does me much good to meet with one who holds respect and reverence for the spirits. [Trust] that your place in the whole is important. Rather than trying to enslave and command others with the powers the gods grant you, you live in harmony and balance with the world around you. There are times when we, the [true spirits] and those like you, can work together to achieve goals. Individuals who help us are known as [Heyokah].
Say: “trust”
Trust is the glue of the universe. When one trusts others to do their part, it allows them to focus on what they must do themselves. The trust that others have in us also gives us the confidence to do our parts effectively, thus maintaining harmony. When one becomes dissatisfied with his part and pursues his own desires, this is called greed. And greed destroys the glue of the universe. This is why we wished the bandits under the grass.
Say: “true spirits”
As a shaman, spirits are known to you. They aid you if you pay them homage and respect the world around you. They also will bend to your will if you are powerful enough. We are a part of the entire universe and we exist because people believe and feel us. However [very few] know us in this form. To mortals we are but ideas, [wisps of consciousness] in an expanse of emptiness and as difficult to grasp as breath in Everfrost.
Say: “very few”
There are only a handful of mortals we've judged worthy to be friends and, reluctantly, masters. We call them the [Heyokah]. Bondl is one of them and he helps to test those we believe might be able to grasp our existence. There are many troubles that threaten us and our home. We seek those with the wisdom, patience, and might to help us ensure the health of the cosmos. Whether you seek balance or personal power, this is important to you.
Say: “wisps of consciousness”
It is difficult for mortals to grasp what we are for we are not material that can be held or consumed. We are the spirit that drives beings to do what beings do. The wolf lives to run and hunt. When you ask for his aid, his spirit enters your body and you 'become' wolf. The ox is the personification of endurance and when he enters your body, you do not become an ox, you become all that is ox. I myself am the spirit of understanding.
Say: “heyokah”
The Heyokah are our mortal counterparts. Some are our friends who seek to help us in whatever goals we deem important. Some seek nothing more than to enslave and command us to do their bidding. We accept this and often make deals with those we realize are powerful enough to accomplish what needs to be done. To judge such individuals, we have prepared a test. We ask that before we enter into these contracts, the shaman walk the [path of the Heyokah]. We see you may be worthy. Will you walk the path? You will be rewarded for your efforts, albeit grudgingly.
Say: “i will walk the path”
That is good. You will need to walk three paths before you can reach that of the Heyokah. The paths of patience, wisdom, and might. First, you must learn patience. Take this gem and go on a pilgrimage to an island in the great water the wasichu call Erud's Crossing. The Kerrans there are our allies and can show you to our next contact, Ooglyn. Give Ooglyn the gem and do what she asks. As you walk the path, remember what you've learned about trust.

Say: “trades”
I thought you might be one who was interested in the various different trades, but which one would suit you? Ahh, alas, it would be better to let you decide for yourself, perhaps you would even like to master them all! That would be quite a feat. Well, lets not get ahead of ourselves, here, take this book. When you have finished reading it, ask me for the [second book], and I shall give it to you. Inside them you will find the most basic recipes for each trade. These recipes are typically used as a base for more advanced crafting, for instance, if you wished to be a smith, one would need to find some ore and smelt it into something usable. Good luck!
Say: “second book”
Here is the second volume of the book you requested, may it serve you well!
Say: “Soulbinder Grunson sent me”
You mean Geadin. Caskin's eyes lose their focus for a moment as he appears to be reminiscing. Geadin was a good friend of mine but I haven't seen him in ten years, not since his [
Say: “problems”
Caskin was a great man. Yes, I know he went down the wrong path eventually, but he saved a lot of people. He helped form the Soulbinders and, ironically enough, helped to write the rules that they now live by. Unfortunately he wasn't strong enough to live by those rules. His was a drive for success, for achievement, and that was his undoing. His [
Say: “research”
Geadin Gyths was, in many ways, a pioneer of soul binding. His research helped to allow the soulbinders to operate, but he went too far. He was expelled from the soulbinders for using some of those that came to him for simple binding as experiment victims, sometimes pulling their souls from their bodis (on accidents he claims) and binding them to a series of gems that he kept on hand. The order of Soulbinders managed to recover those gems and the lost souls and removed Geadin from their ranks. Something that happened at that time, perhaps even something that the Soulbinders did to him, drove him [
Say: “mad”
He ran off and I haven't heard from him in more than ten years. So you can see why the Soulbinders don't want to talk about him. There's nothing to fear from them, they have one of the most grueling screening processes I've ever heard of. I guess Geadin helped them in that way too. I don't know why you seek Geadin or his type of magic, you don't seem like the sort that would be interested in that sort of thing. I will warn you about my friend Geadin. He is very smart and very insane. If you can help him, I'd be grateful, but keep in mind that he doesn't see people as anything more than a tool. Good luck in finding him.

Say: “hail”
May the Truthbringer guide your path. I am Celsar Vestagon, upholder of the faith and cleric of Mithaniel Marr. Did you come to see the [minnows of marr]?
Say: “minnows of marr”
The Marr Minnow is unique to the Hall of Truth. It is a beautiful fish. Unfortunately, recently, reports of piranha have been heard. Due to greater concerns, I must look for assistance from noble clerics who wish to help Marr and [eradicate the piranha].
Say: “piranha”
Yes. You are new to the word of Marr. Go to the waters surrounding the Hall of Truth. Fill this sack with no fewer than four dead piranha. You'd best keep well fed. I do not want you to eat the fish before you fill the sack and combine it. May Marr be with you.

Classic-script dialogue (12)
Say: “hail”
Greetings and well met
Say: “training”
I have developed a training program for all young and upcoming Paladins of Marr. My tests will enable you to learn some basic hunting, navigating and armor crafting skills. All of these abilities will be very important on your path to enlightenment. If you are [ready to begin my tests] I will explain to you how the tests will work.
Say: “ready to begin your tests”
Very well
Say: “recipe”
Once you have crafted your material from the specific recipes I give you, you will need the appropriate mold as I mentioned before. I can present you with the recipe and mold for Truthbringers [Helm], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplate]. When you are ready to being collecting the components for a material recipe simply tell me what piece you [want] to craft.
Say: “helm”
I would strongly suggest a good helm as you can see by my patch over my eye I was not so careful in my younger days. To create your helm material you will need to combine 2 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Young Kodiak Paw, 1 Ruined Cat Pelt and 1 Hops in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Truthbringers Helm.
Say: “gauntlet”
Sooner or later you will take a tough blow to your hands. Being struck there without the right gauntlets could mean a very serious and painful injury. To create your gauntlet material you will need to combine 3 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Giant Spider Egg Sack, 1 Ruined Bear Pelt, and 1 Armadillo Tail in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Truthbringers Gauntlets.
Say: “greave”
I can't begin to tell you how important pants are
Say: “armguard”
A good set of armguards will keep your arms safe from any attacks you may face while in training. It is a common tactic to go for ones arms because with them disabled it becomes impossible to defend yourself. To create your armguards material you will need to combine 2 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 2 Black Bear Paws, and 1 Short Beer in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Truthbringers Armguards.
Say: “bracer”
I have seen many paladins go without the proper wrist protection and the result was never good. To create your bracer material you will need to combine 1 Brick of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Orc Prayer Beads and 1 Red Wine in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Truthbringers Bracer.
Say: “breastplate”
Any paladins most important armor piece is always their breastplate. Should you succeed in crafting it your Truthbringer Breastplate will guard your upper body from any serious attacks that would otherwise be quite devasting. To create your breastplate material you will need to combine 5 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Young Plains Cat Scalp, 1 Young Puma Skin, 1 Water Flask, 1 Deathfist Orc Skull and 1 Giant Fire Beetle Carapace in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Truthbringers Breastplate. After you have completed your breastplate come back to see me for I have one [final test] for you.
Say: “boot”
Boots are a wise armor choice because you never know what you will have to walk across and knowing your feet are protected is one less thing to worry about. To create your boot material you will need to combine 3 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Lion Mane and 2 Wolf Meats in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Truthbringers Boots.
Say: “final test”
Well for quite sometime the Freeport Militia has become more and more corrupt. They have been known to do any dastardly deed you can imagine which includes harming and sometimes killing followers of Marr. There is a group of Militia Soldiers in the commonlands that have been recently harassing a good friend of mine. His name is Pardor and he is a shopkeeper in the commonlands. As if it wasnt dangerous enough in the commonlands he know has these Militia soldiers demanding he pay them a tax that does not exist. At first we just thought they were simple things -- rocks, pebbles, gems, and the like -- and then we noticed they had very unusual auras about them. While the dagger remained as fine as ever, Morden himself felt a surge of strength! So, you will want to watch out for these strange magic pieces in the world. Say: “story”
I was tasked by Shin Master Grubbus of Gukta to travel here to Freeport and receive a gift from the Paladins of Marr. It was a holy ring blessed by Marr and a token of friendship between the Frogloks and the human paladins. It was of course an honor to be selected to perform such a task. I accepted the generous gift and made my way back home to Gukta. As I entered South Ro however that is when things [went terribly wrong].
Say: “went terribly wrong”
As I entered the desert under the cover of night, a thick mist swirled about me and I could not see but a couple feet in front of me. A horrible hiss broke through the fog and the horrible visage of a ghoul darted towards me. I quickly took up my sword and dispatched the beast with little effort. Then a dreadful moaning from somewhere in the desert started. Soon it was joined by another monstrous moan, then another until I was completely surrounded by the terrible sound. The mist parted and a dark, robed figure appeared. He uttered something and hands began to erupt from the sand. Soon I was surrounded by a host of undead. They clawed and tore at me as I attempted to keep them at bay. The necromancer looked into my eyes and began chanting. His words filled me with dread. I dropped the ring and ran all the way back here. Not once stopping. I am a complete coward. I have let down my people and my God. I am sure I will be exiled for this. I doubt there is anything you can do to [help] me.
Say: “help”
No disrespect intended towards you friend, but I have little faith you can find the ring. However, if you wish to look for yourself, you may want to go to South Ro and see what you can find. There is also another problem. I remember the undead in the desert tearing out some of the gems as they clawed at me. Perhaps the undead still carry some of the gems. Please see if you can find three missing gems in addition to the ring. They should be easy to identify. They were specially crafted by Gukta's finest jewelers. They are a deep red in color and bear the mark of The Truthbringer. You might want to search South Ro and the Oasis for them. When you have found the ring and the three gems, please hand them to me.

Bless you. my friend! We always welcome new converts into our Hall of Truth. The righteous army of the twin deities must assemble. The battle draws near. The blessings of the Truthbringer are passed to all who are [devoted to truth].
Say: “fallen knight”
The fallen knight is Sir Lucan D'Lere. The organizer and leader of the Freeport Militia. He once stood beside us. Now he shall burn!! We will end him. We shall [crush the Freeport Militia]. Truth shall reign once again.
Say: “true organizer”
Captain Hazran is the commander of the Freeport Militia. Lucan has no time to waste on relegating duties. Hazran is the one who keeps these brutes together as a militia. Stop him and maybe the militia will collapse. Find a way to return his head to me. That would surely bring great thanks from this temple.
Say: “devoted to truth”
May the hand of Marr shield you from harm. Welcome to our world. The war begins here in Freeport. The [fallen knight] has masked the truth from the world, but he cannot mask his evil from the Truthbringer. He once followed our ways. Now he is our enemy and yours. We must end his rule. We must [crush the Freeport Militia]!!
Work on the ways of valor before we discuss such things. You are on the righteous path of the Truthbringer, but there is more work to do.
Say: “crush the freeport militia”
'Our goal is to end their rule. To retake our city in the name of Marr. Let it begin with their blood!! Slay the militia!! They have no souls and hail from the back alleys and prison cells of darkness and depravity. Thieves and murderers, nothing more. Slay any you can and, as proof, return their militia helms to me. We shall see what bounty you deserve.

Say: “hail”
Hello. I am Rashinda Elore. The city Landholder Manager. If you have business to discuss. please direct it to my two clerks downstairs. Good day.
Say: “blades”
'Zimel's Blades? It used to be a fine place of rare weaponry. [Ariska Zimel] was the owner. No one knows what happened to the man. He just vanished overnight. His shop used to be in East Freeport which is now a slum, er, I mean, which now has plenty of available lots for sale with plenty of potential. As for Zimel's Blades, we [condemned] it.
Say: “ariska zimel”
Ariska Zimel was a human blacksmith, a master when it came to making swords, I hear. He kept to himself a lot. He disappeared about one year ago. A lot of people were disappointed when we had to condemn Zimel's Blades. All the merchandise was handed over to Groflah Steadirt. Mostly charred junk.
Say: “groflah steadirt”
Groflah Steadirt is the dwarven owner of Groflah's Forge which is right near here. He was Ariska Zimel's best friend. They were apparently avid travelers before settling down here in Freeport. I guess it was during their travels that they picked up the fine arts of the forge. You should talk to Groflah about Zimel. He can tell you more than I can.
Say: “condemned”
About a week after Ariska Zimel's disappearance, strange noises were heard from his shop. Loud booms and rumbling as though the earth itself were exploding. When the militia got to the shop, they said the shop was badly burned by an exploding boiler. They had us condemn the building due to its unsafe structure

Say: “recruits”
Well you see sense I am such a well seasoned adventurer my knowledge is very helpful to the young members of our house. That is why I have developed a system of hunting and gathering assignments that reward the new recruit with a set of armor that they work very hard to craft themselves. Are you a [young cleric of House Marr]? If so I will be happy to offer my assignments to you.
Say: “young cleric of house marr”
Great! Let me first begin by explaining how you will be creating your own armor. You will use this magical kit I have presented you with to gather numerous [recipe components]. Your magical kit will be used to gather specific materials that will form together in certain numbers and quantities to create an armor material. You must then take the material you have fashioned to a forge along with armor molds that I will supply you with to create your armor.
Say: “recipe components”
There are many different items that you will need to collect for your material components in all areas surrounding Freeport and our temple. I will be able to supply you with the mold for any armor piece you [want] to craft. I have the molds and recipes necessary for [Helms], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates]. When you are ready to craft a piece simply tell me what piece you would like to craft. For example if you wanted to create boots you would say, 'I want to craft boots'.
Say: “helm”
Any cleric should always be very selective about what headpiece they choose for it can mean the difference between life and death. To create your helm material you will need to combine 2 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Leaf Scarab Carapace , 1 Armadillo Tooth and 2 Fish Scales in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Helm of the Ordained.
Say: “bracer”
Bracers should be worn at all times on the battlefield. If an enemy was to wound you about the wrist area you may find it difficult to channel your spell. To create your bracer material you will need to combine 1 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Young Puma Skin, 1 Snake Egg and 1 Malachite in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Bracer of the Ordained.
Say: “armguard”
'Armguards are a definite must when you are out training. Being wounded about the arms due to no armor protection can be quite devastating. To create your armguard material you will need to combine 2 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 2 Giant Fire Beetle Brains, 1 Lion Mane and 1 Wine Yeast in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Armguards of the Ordained.
Say: “boot”
Boots are one of your more important armor pieces I must say. To create your boot material you will need to combine 3 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Large Leaf Scarab Leg , 2 Spiderling Eyes in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Boots of the Ordained.
Say: “greave”
Pants are a must on the battlefield for reasons that I should not have to mention! To create your greaves material you will need to combine 4 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Deathfist Orc Skull, 1 Zombie Skin , 1 Bottle and 1 Lion Tail in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Greaves of the Ordained.
Say: “gauntlet”
Gauntlets will be a very important part of your armor set because it is extremely important that you keep your hands free from harm or you will find yourself having troubles with your spellcasting. To create your gauntlets material you will need to combine 3 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Black Bear Paw, 1 Giant Scarab Brain , and 2 Spider Legs in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Gauntlets of the Ordained.
Say: “breastplate”
I am very proud to have seen my newest student progress through their training so fast. I have no doubt that the time has come for you to craft your Breastplate of the Ordained. To create your breastplate material you will need to combine 5 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Preserved Snake Eye, 1 Young Kodiak Paw, 1 Snake Bile and 1 Large Leaf Scarab Leg in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Breastplate of the Ordained. Please return to me when you are finished with your breastplate for one [final mission].
Say: “final mission”
As you must already know the Freeport Militia has been a thorn in our side ever sense they were trusted to care for our city during the crusade. Things have never been the same sense then and things are actually starting to get worse. There have been numerous reports of Freeport Militia soldiers harassing all those that do not follow their rules of tyranny. My sister was bringing me a newsletter from qeynos when she was abducted. She escaped but [Deisnak] stole the newsletter she was delivering to me.
Say: “deisnak”

Say: “what specific test”
If you are ready to begin your training I will assign you a number of tests. These tests will enable you to outfit yourself with a suit of armor only worn by the most respected musicians of Freeport. First. I will present you with a Songweavers Assembly Kit. In this kit you will combine certain [recipes] that will be magically formed into an armor material. Each one of these materials will need to be combined in a forge with the appropriate mold to make your armor piece.
Say: “what recipe”
I have the material recipes available for Songweavers Platemail [Helms]. [Bracers]. [Armguards]. [Boots]. [Greaves]. [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates]. When you are ready to craft a specific piece simply tell me what armor piece you [want] to craft. For example if you would wish to craft a helm tell me [I want to craft a helm]. Also please keep in mind that the components necessary for crafting your breastplate material are the most difficult to collect so you might want to collect them last.

Armguards will keep your arms well protected in battle from any foe you may face. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Songweavers Platemail Armguards.

The right breastplate will defend you from most lifethreating attacks that you may endure while in training. To create your breastplate material you will need to combine 5 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 1 Coyote Skull, 1 Snake Bile, 1 Enlarged Fire Beetle Leg, 1 Vial of Smoke and 1 Young Plains Cat Backbone in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Songweavers Platemail Breastplate. That would be good, but I doubt you can. We have been trying for years and are unable to get him apart from the militia. If you do the impossible and destroy Sir Lucan, bring me his testimony. Every knight of the Hall of Truth carries a signed testimony. Sir Lucan still holds his.
Say: “sir lucan”
Lucan is a bad seed. You see, I trained Sir Lucan. He was nothing more than a street rat who was taken in by the Temple of Marr. The priests taught him and found him to be very agile and strong. They requested either the Priests of Marr or the Knights of Truth take him on as a squire. Gygus could not spare the trainers at the time and so we took the boy. The boy became a man, and a very formidable knight. Then something [went awry].
Say: “went awry”
During one of our crusades into the lands of Norrath, we left Sir Lucan in charge of the remaining knights. He did much good and the people respected him. He was overtaken by power. He soon began to hire mercenaries to guard the city, calling them the Freeport Militia. His true downfall began when he killed Sentry Dillius, a paladin of the Priests of Marr. His divine powers were stripped from his soul. He was a paladin no longer. He and his militia now control the city. They treat it as their playground and bully the populace. Someone must [stop Sir Lucan].
Say: “hero”
His name has been long lost but his legend lives on in every young knight who aspires to continue his fight. He attempted to quell an evil that resided within Kithicor, perverting nature itself. Much to his relief, it was an earthly foe he fought against and not a denizen summoned from the planes of evil. Then, suddenly, he was surrounded by dozens of dark elves. He was captured and taken to the Dead to be experimented upon and had his soul twisted by vile necromantic magics. Then the Tier'Dal cast his remains to the winds. Where they landed, no one knew, until now. You have found one of his bones. I hereby charge you with a Holy Quest to bring this Hero's bones back for a burial with honors. Do you [accept], knight?
Say: “i accept”
Good! I knew you would. It is one of the highest honors one can receive. Your quest will not be easy for I know not where his other bones lay. A spy of ours within Neriak was able to surmise that six of his bones along with his sword and shield were scattered throughout Norrath. You must search far and wide to find the remaining pieces, as you already have one.. Do not give up. It is now your sacred duty. Once you have retrieved all eight pieces, come back to me and inform me that you [have all the bones].
Say: “have all the bones”
Excellent! You are indeed worthy to bear the title of Holy Knight! Now, about the coffin. I have spoken with Ping Fuzzlecutter, outside the western gates. Ask him about the coffin and once it is made, bring it to Simon Aldicott of Marr. I shall have Simon meet you by the lake in the Commonlands after Ping gives you the coffin.
